The world’s biggest half marathon in the heart of the North East will be back in 2027 on Sunday 12th September.

What's the challenge?
You'll join 60,000 determined and dedicated runners over the 13.1 miles city to coast route and enjoy an unbeatable atmosphere.
What do I need to know?
The route starts in Gateshead taking in the River Tyne, iconic Tyne Bridge and the glistening sea along the coast of South Shields.
The route is as well known as the North East welcome that all runners of the race enjoy.
No matter how much running experience you have we can support you all the way and we'll be there on the day to cheer you on, and welcome you across the finish line!
Charity place registration fee: £20 (includes free T shirt/running vest, a training plan plus support every step of the way)
