Our Hearing Voices Peer Support Group is a safe, welcoming and supportive space for people who hear voices, see visions, or have unusual sensory experiences. The group offers an opportunity to meet others with similar experiences, share your thoughts and feelings, and give and receive support in a respectful and understanding environment. Everyone’s experiences are different, and the group is centred around what you need.
What is the Hearing Voices Peer Support Group?
Our Hearing Voices Peer Support Group is a safe and welcoming space for people who hear voices, see visions, or experience unusual sensory experiences. The group provides an opportunity to meet others with similar experiences, share how your week has been, talk about things that matter to you, and give and receive support in a respectful and understanding environment.
What happens in the group?
- Everyone gets an opportunity to “check in” and talk about how their week has been.
- We talk about things that might be troubling you, so the group can support one another.
- There will be opportunities to take part in activities.
- We finish with a “check out” to make sure everyone is okay before leaving.
What to expect from the group?
- Group members will show empathy, acceptance and show mutual respect. This will be included in our group agreement
- The group welcomes different experiences and views from members
- The group will be centred around what you need
- Each member of the group has an important part to play in the group
How do I get involved and what happens next?
Getting involved is easy. You can make a referral online through our website, or contact the team if you would like some support with the referral process.

- If you would rather speak to someone, contact the team on 01642 257 020 and we can complete the referral with you.
- A professional can also complete the referral form on your behalf.
- Once we have received your referral, a member of our team will contact you to arrange an initial conversation.
- This conversation can take place in person or by telephone, depending on what works best for you.
