The Connection Point

Nov 17 2025

The Connection Point is a dedicated information and enquiry service created to help people access the right support for their mental health.

As demand for our services continues to increase, we’re always looking at better ways to connect people with the right support. Currently, we rely on our trusted admin team to manage incoming enquiries, and they do an incredible job. Yet capacity can be limited, and this sometimes means people wait longer that we would like for information, or opportunities to guide people to the best possible support are not always taken. So, we’ve created The Connection Point to remedy this.

The Connection Point is a dedicated information and enquiry service created to help people access the right support for their mental health. It’s designed to be responsive, person-centred, and proactive – ensuring that no one feels lost or overlooked when seeking help. The team will provide information about our services , offer guidance on mental health support options and signpost to external organisations where appropriate. We’ll listen without judgement, guiding people to the appropriate services, empowering them with clarity, care and choice .

What makes The Connection Point special? It’s co-designed with input from the local community and rooted in values of inclusion, ease of access and trust . It’s a named, dedicated support point – not a faceless system . It’s also a volunteer-led service, which means we’re empowering more people and giving them the chance to learn new skills, give back to the local community, and build their self-worth and confidence.

How will it work? The service will operate across multiple channels when it launches later this year: telephone, live chat, email and eventually in-person support. We’ll be softly launching the new service in December, and we’ll share more details in the next issue of MindMatters.
